Hi! My mom has a dog with a very touchy stomach and my boy is easily thrown off his game as well, so both of us like to keep cans of pumpin on hand. However the real deal is far more effective. I had bought a couple, baked, chopped up and frozen them but my mom has already gone through her stash. Pumpkins aren't readily available throughout the year and can actually get pretty dang expensive during the summer. I was wondering if other squahes would provide the same fiber benefits? I bought a butter nut squash, baked it, chopped it up and pureed some for my guys to try but I was wondering if any one else had experience with these or other gourds/squashes compared to pumpkins.
