I'm 16 and have been caring for various rodents, birds and cats for my entire life so pet care is nothing new to me. I have convinced my parents to let me buy a leopard gecko. A gecko is something I've wanted for years and I've been researching a lot. My brother has raised reptiles for years so I am no stranger to reptile care either. Today I went out and bought the final touches for my gecko set up. But when I thought about buying the animal and that I was going to be its caretaker for the next twenty years scared the crap out of me. I'm half tempted to put everything back in the box and take it back to the store. I know to to take care of the animal and I've always wanted to have one but I'm scared. When I had that thought my arms and legs got cold and my head spun. Should I just take the stuff back to the store and pretend I never asked for it in the first place? Or should I go through with it?
