So our neighbors moved in a few months ago and their lab is usually locked up in their garage, but today they either let her out or she got out. Anyway she's been wandering her front yard barking at the world. My dad drove home from work and was walking out of the garage to OUR front yard and the lab came running aggressively after him onto our yard. He didn't know what to do so he ran to the garage and grabbed a broom and shooed her away while yelling. She ran back to her yard and has been barking. After my dad told us what happened we all went out to see what was going on. We didn't leave out garage or antagonize her and she came sprinting back after all of us to our garage. I shooed her with a broom and my dad shooed her with an umbrella and she left. As we were going back into our house she came running back after us. We had to shoo her away again and then went inside and closed the garage. Anyway, right now she's at our mailbox barking at our house. She won't leave our yard. At the moment we can't inform our neighbors because they are at church and we don't dare leave a note because we can't get over to their yard. We're worried that when everyone leaves church, a lot of people walk, she might attack someone. Young kids might especially be in danger. Does anyone have any advice about what to do. Would it be wise to inform the neighbors before calling animal control? Can we call animal control with a situation like this? Thank you for your help.
