I have a 9-10 month old ShihTzu/Maltice mix. We got him from a No-Kill animal shelter. When we got him, they said he was running around with another dog like himself. He is a very sweet dog. He doesn't bite, just nips when he's playful. We let our dogs go everywhere. It seems like he is getting use to getting in the car, but not completely. When we get in the car he has no trouble. When we get out of the car he stiffens up/backs away. We think someone may have thrown him from the car. When we are at home, he will sit in my lap, then slowly lean over. Or when I pet him he leans his head back. I just want to know if he might have some kind of brain damage or if maybe he's depressed. The place we bought him from said they did a full check-up. No worms, ticks, diseases, etc. They said he was very sweet. I had a ShihTzu/Maltice who recently passed away. R.I.P Lynaugh, who didn't act the same way. Trust me I love the little guy to death, but it just seems like something is wrong. Is there any way for me to tell, because the vet hasn't said anything. If it help here is some other information: He is male 9-10 months neutered rabies shot heart worm guard micro-chipped(the shelter did this) He loves for me to rub my feet all over him. He can run very fast. I don't think it is physical...
