I'm just wondering because I've done a lot of research into my next dog and so far out of all the breeds I've looked into, the Brittany is the best match for my lifestyle. But every single Brittany I've met has been between the ages of four and six, and Id assumed that they were a lot older because they were slow and lumpy and very grey in the face. Do all brittanies grey early? Because I've never met a dog that was FULLY grey in the face before they were 7 or 8. It's not the grey that bothers me, I'd still love the dog, but I keep wondering if it's linked to something, do they decline faster than other breeds for some reason? Or is it just bad breeding in the individuals I've met? Perhaps the owners lied about the dogs age? If they're a quickly aging breed then I don't want one because I need a dog that can be active and healthy well into their teens
