I have a male english bulldog who will be turning one year this coming week. He was neutered at six months and has been socialized with dogs of all sizes and people of all ages and color since he was tiny and has never had a problem with anyone. This week, an African American neighbor came over and reached down towards him and he started growling and barking and his hair rose up on his back. He has NEVER acted this way. He has never shown this kind of aggression whatsoever. We thought something may have spooked him but since then, there have been 3 other separate incidents where when approached by african americans, he hunkers down and then starts growling and barking. I am very alarmed and don t know what to do or if I should be concerned. Please help. Thanks.
