At the time my friends were giving away some puppies. Dachshund/Dapple Dachshund mixed. We did not get to pick the puppy out, so we just had them pick her out for us. A week later we noticed she wasn't responding well. Turns out she is deaf. She is pure white except on one of her ears and has one bright blue eye and the other is brownish green. She's beautiful! Anyways, we treat her no less then we would any other animal. The only thing is, I have noticed she is very very clingy.. she follows me everywhere I go and is always wanting to be right by my side. We try not to leave her alone ever, but sometimes we just have too. She freaks out everytime and then tears up everything in the house. We have a kennel but I refuse to put her in it. She whines and whines unbearably loud and we have upstairs neighbors with a newborn. I am 8 and 1/2 months pregnant, I'm worried because my attention will be more on the baby then her. I don't think she will appericate that much lol. Anyone else have a deaf dog?
