Question: Help a child over fear of dogs quickly?

I have a 2 year old who loves my brothers dog, a shih tzu. He lives in ny and we go visit every 4 months or so from out of town. This time she's petrified of the dog and were staying at his house. She'll talk to the dog and bring it toys, but if it comes near her she starts to scream and cry and run away (if the exit isn't blocked ). Any ideas how to help her over her fear? It's never happened before and we're leaving in a few days. I'd like her to enjoy her time
