We have two dogs in our home. One is a now housebroken unneutered male who is half Bassett and half lab. He has no problems, and is fully house broken. He is about a year and a half old. The other is a 10 month old female, unspayed and pure Bassett. She is the one whom we are having problems with. I am home with them all day and we've even got a dog door which I have seen both dogs use without encouragement to potty outside several times. I still will let them out once or twice a day to make sure they go out. Hazel (the problem maker) will have long streaks, several weeks long where she does not pee or poop inside, then suddenly she will start again. I haven't changed her diet or anything about the hours of people coming and going. We thoroughly clean the spots she pees and poop and I've gotten her health checked; she's healthy and not in heat. I've had many dogs before but am at a loss of what to do with her! Please help!!
