I have a 9 month old lab, and currently have no yard. She is well trained except off leash so right now I have a 50ft leash that I use for her to go outside and run around. She doesn't mind it but I really would like her to eventually be off leash. So my questions are; 1. How much exercise does a 9 month old lab need? I usually take her out first thing in the morning, take her for a long walk to a near field an let her romp around, go out after I come home from class, and right before bed. Fetch is her favorite game! 2. Any tips/tricks to get your dog to come to you when called? I want her to be able to have the chance to run free. I plan on moving in the near future with a yard but what can I start doing to train her off leash? 3. Crating. I am a full-time college student and so I have to crate my pup when I am at class. I come in and out of the house periodically and let her out, take her for walks, and spend quality time before having to leave again. So I would say she is created the longest 3 hours while I am in class, and then 9 hours at night. How can I ease her off the crate? At least at night? Be able to trust her she won't chew on everything in sight? Thank you! I also want to mention that she has only had 1 accident in the house and that was the first day that she was home which was a couple of weeks ago. She has a bladder of steel so potty training isn't an issue and she is taken out quite frequently.
