Hi, I have a 10 month old male cat. My baby indoor/outdoor and has his apt to get neutered on Tuesday. However, there is a female stray somewhere near my house & is calling for mates, I hadn't noticed this was the reason for his dilated pupils and crazy behavior to get outside (usually just waits at the window until I open it) until I heard her myself early yesterday morning. I keep him inside at night but he is just going crazy to get out so is it okay to keep him in here overnight until I can take him for a walk in the AM? (harness & leash) I don't ever let him out when it's dark & he usually never wants to go out this late he is very good, but I don't want to take any chances letting him out unsupervised because he can get hurt by the other males trying to get to this female (he's small for his age but always challenges the big cats) so I was just wondering if he'd be okay to sleep in this over night? The playpen is in my room a few ft away from my bed and I am going to leave a small lamp on for him, I tied hang toys to the top and put catnip and his food on the top shelf and his litter box on the floor of the cage, he has a lot to keep him busy and has a nice bed in there as well, if this is not okay of course I'll let him out but I just don't want him to hurt himself trying to get out of the house while I'm asleep, the measurements of the cage are on the picture on the bottom right corner, serious answers only please. I'm only trying to keep him safe.
