So, our dog is 11 years old, he's a bearded collie mixed with a Briard. He's 11, but he's in very good shape, active, happy, good sight and hearing as always. He DOES have an issue where he is itching himself to pieces, we have him on Temaril P, which helps a lot but makes him hungry. We changed his diet from Beneful to Instinct Raw about six months ago and that has helped his allergies back off to almost nothing. The PROBLEM is, since we switched his diet, he's gotten an obsession with eating paper towels, Kleenex, toilet paper, and the like and will get into the garbage. It's like he can't help himself. Right in front of us he'll do it. Not with anything else, just paper products like that. He's always been very good and never got into the garbage like that, so we think he might be missing something in his diet. Anyone else had this issue on Instinct, and if so, did you find a way to fix it? We've been to four different vets, had bloodwork, too many suggestions of yet more pills that don't do anything but make him tired. I'm hoping it's an imbalance somewhere that someone knows about.
