Question: How do I make my male veiled chameleon more friendly?

The last week or two my veiled chameleon (male) has been more aggressive to me. Instead of just easily coming to my hand or me just being calm and scooping him up. He has been eager to get out of his cage. Every-time I put his food into his cage he runs strait for the door I open to feed him. I take him out and let him roam on his vines he loves it, he hates when I try to get him off the vine though. He hisses at me more now, I never let him hiss at me I will usually stroke his neck when he starts to inflate it to hiss. It some what calms him. Putting my hand over his face calms him down. He is great, not mean when I have him in my hands. He isn't mean in general. Its just a pain to feed him with him so eager to get out. I did read up on things like this already. The articles I read explained that he might be going through a "teenage" stage. Which I don't deny, that could be very possible. But I still seem to deny it because, he is great when you get him out, hes a wonderful pet. Just being more friendly would be pleasant
