My mom wants to go into the business of breeding dogs. my cousin has an akita/husky mix, i think, and he wants to buy a 1 yr old female and keep it at our place. my mom wants to do this as a way to make extra income but we have 2 cats already. one is a nervous cat ever since we had a stray that wouldnt leave and ended up making the backyard his home. she is still nervous to this day, 2 yrs later. i, for one, dont want dogs. im not a dog person and i feel that having a big dog in our backyard is going to cause my 2 cats unnecessary stress. we also have chickens in our backyard too and dogs love to chase them, it has happened with the neighbor dog. my mom seems pretty hell-bent on doing this. i want to know if this is a good idea (not monetarily). will my cats get used to it or will they become nervous recks. they are in/outdoor (mostly outdoor) cats. i really dont want a dog disturbing my animals i have now but i cant seem to get her to see this. help!
