Question: I need to know something?

I need help my kittens was borned 7 days ago and two of them have a wired hole in the middle of ther belly and i dont know if this is normal or not because while she was in labour i helped her in cutting the umbilical cord and i did not cut it from the top but from down and i left it until it dry and fell by itself and now it seems like ahole and somthing from that hole is out and its red but they seem okay for now but i dont know whats going to happen after that so please any one knows what to do and i cant take them to the vet because there is a storm outside :(((
