Question: Pit Bull Question?...please no answers about "not likeing Pits or grammer/spelling comments or this is not the dog for you. good advise plz?

i have a 3-4 month old pitbull and when he sees a person he gets SOO excites and starts flippsing out choking himself to get to them wants to jump and lick on them like hes gone phsyco he just gets so happy, but at first i thought this was good but now im a little worried that maybe being so accepting of every person may not be a good thing. how do i break him of trying to jumping out the window of the car or pulling me across the parking lot to go greet every person, i ean i would like him weary of some people if someone just bashed in my door i would like him to present a problem to that oer son/ maybe this cannot be instilled in these dogs i dont kno, if so do they need Protection training if so how do i do that, can i do it? or do i have to take him? Is this just a puppy thing that he just wnats to love every one?
