I am looking for a pet bird, it will be my first bird but my mom has plenty of experience so it will not be going to an inexperienced home. I am 13 (but mature for my age) and I have a 12 year old brother who won't be coming into much contact with the bird, but he is mature enough that it wouldn't be a problem if he did. I am comfortable with large birds (up to macaw size) and I actually prefer them. I am okay with noise and mess.I don't need the bird to talk, but it's definitely an added bonus. The most important part is that it is friendly. I will have plenty of space for large birds. The only problem is- I don't have a ton of money for the bird itself. What bird would be ideal for me?
