Are we bonding well so far? Here are some things he does - Follows me with or without lead rope/reins - Nickers at me - When getting him in the pasture, he looks at me with ears forward, facing towards me - He is respectful and doesn't get in my way - Gives me kisses (sticks nose out to mine) - Doesn't run away from me - Listens to me a lot more now (only had him for 3 months, info down below) - Looks for me if I walk away to get something (someone holds him/he is in a safe area where he cant get away) - When I pick his hooves or brush him off he looks at me - When I hurt my tailbone (broke it before I got him) he seemed more caring And I've had him for 3 months but due to weather conditions I haven't ridden him that much :c but I'm getting back into riding him and I've rode him a lot. Just last weekend took him to a Martha Josey Barrel Clinic and he improved a lot! So basically when we got him he was underweight (he's putting on weight perfectly fine) and his topline and butt muscles were a little below average but that's improved A LOT since I got him. Whenever I got him he was very hot and just run run run and no woah; BUT he's improved so much and I am really proud of him. He doesn't run all the time now and is so much better at listening to me. He's a barrel horse, 13. He used to not do slow work but now that's what we have been working on and he's outstanding c: We got him vet checked and he didn't have any joint/bone issues How's our bond going in your opinion?
