I got my female veil tail betta, Luna, from Petco about a year ago. She was in a small cup and wasn't the most pretty fish, so I decided to take her home. Her first day home, I had her in a 1 gallon fish bowl, but realized that that was definitely too small, so I upgraded her to a 5 gallon. She had (and still has) gravel, a $20.00 heater, 4 fake plants, a place to hide, and a little decoration. Her tank stayed (and still stays) about 72-85 degrees Fahrenheit. Anyway, I had some leftover betta food from my previous betta, Georgie, and decided to offer her some. But she wouldn't eat it and the little balls just sunk to the bottom, causing more frequent cleanings. I knew she needed to eat and so I went out to Petsmart and bought her "Top Fin® Betta Bits Color Enhancing Pellets Fish Food". She actually ate this food! (And she still does eat it!). But, she'll only eat the green colored balls. She won't touch the red ones. She looks healthy so I don't think anything is wrong but I do have a couple of questions: 1) Why does she only like the green balls and not the red? 2) Why wouldn't she eat the other brand that Georgie ate and loved?
