I got 2 male guinea pigs (brothers) a few days ago. They keep growling at each other all day long and I don't know what to do. They make this growling/purring sound, their bodies vibrate and they might chase each other. But sometimes they do it while nuzzling against one another, so I'm not sure if it's a good or a bad thing. At first I thought the growling was directed at me and the rest of my family, but they are quite friendly towards us (they're not scared of us anymore and they let us pet them) and seem to like us, so I decided that the problem is between the two of them. I read that this might be a way for each of them to express dominance over the other and that it's totally normal. However it's creating a ruckus and my parents told me to separate them, but isn't there any other way I can deal with the situation?
