our little dachshund named mr weenie opened a door and got out some christmas candy, we are positive he has theobromine poisoning, he vomited a lake of chocolate and had rapid breathing and some other symptoms. we gave him water like i read off of pet MD or something so maybe it will flush out his system. not sure what else to do. he weighs 20 pounds (yes overweight). he is one of the larger black type of dachshunds. he sat in his bed for a while breathing fast and it was really scaring us but now he is kind of hyper and we are not sure if its the caffeine kicking in or he was just in a little spell after the vomiting. any ideas that could help?
