im planning on adding corals to my marine nano tank soon, im only planning on having some hermits and snails, probably not any fish due to tank size. i want paly corals and zoas since they are really pretty and i have found some generally cheap ones//really cheap compared to other corals ive seen// 10 polyps for 7-9$ (( anything under 15$ to me is a good deal xD)) anyhow, i wanted to know everything i need to know about reef aquariums, i have live rock and sand, not a ton of it though, just about 6 lbs total, and a few " sculpey live rocks" because they have good surface area for bacteria. i was planning on buying some feeder copopods and amphipods and just dump them in my tank to add diversity. i have a 20 gal. filter, but want a refugium instead, how do i do that...? or should i just keep my filter..? i dont have a skimmer, do i need one? any info at all is appreciated!! sorry for any misspellings, my computer doesnt believe most of these words exist.
