So here is my situation. I live withe my dad and I have my two cats that I love dearly. Well, my dads house isn't a permanennt living situation for me at all. If he decides to move in with his girlfriend or he kicks me out (he's done that before fro no reason) I could land either at my grandparents where they wont allow the cats because they "have one already" or my boyfriends if his family was ok with me living there but they wouldn't let me bring my cats. I know my dad wouldn't take them with him either. I know that my boyfriends family wouldn't allow it because his mom has a breathing hole in her throat and could inhale the fur and choke. That's what they told me. This situation leaves the cats probably being taken to the pound and killed. They are grown cats, not kittens. I'm over 18 so I know I could do it if it's possible. How can I obtain legal ownership so that no matter what happens, no one can get rid of the cats? Like if they tried I could call the autorities and show my ownership and they would be warned? I also want to know how much micro chipping would be so that if whoever I lived with decided to do this behind my back I could find them again.
