Okay, this is gonna be kinda long. I have wanted a horse since I was like 4. I am now 16, and I have been riding since I was 9. I know pretty much all there is to know about horses, from riding to conformation to all sorts of things. I have been trying since Day 1 to get my parents to buy me one. I have tried Powerpoints, speeches, pictures, everything. I've offered to do work, get a job, help around the house, tons of stuff. My boyfriend even said that we could board it at his house, for like $100 a month or even less. But whatever I do, my parents keep saying that we can't afford it. However, I know that this is not the case. They were looking at $30,000 boats last weekend and talking about getting a couple jet skis and such. A horse, for me, would cost about $2000-$2500 per year, which is really good, and the horse I want is only $600. What the heck am I supposed to do? And earlier, they said that they would pay for me to half-lease a horse in the summer(only two months) for $250 each month(so, $500). Buying a horse would be a much better option because I can ride it all the time, it'd be cheaper monthly, and I'd be able to bond with it without having to give it up later.
