Im 17 and i never really use my car much, only for odd practice sessions to tesco etc. im also waiting to sit my 3rd driving test (yep! im useless and tbh i dont want to sit it, but ive spent so much money on lessons to quit) and i dont find any joy in driving and tbh i see the insurance as a waste because its so much money just for a little bit of independence in return and im so scared of crashing. If i did sell my car, i would look into buying a dog that is roughly the same price as my car (a pug). I have the money to maintain a dog, no need to worry, but id rather spend my money on a dog than a piece of metal. I lost my old family dog who was put down 2 years ago and it was so so sad and i miss having a dog and a companion very much. Is it so terrible that i want to sell my car to buy a dog? A lot of people have said "you use a car more than a dog" "a car is a necessity" but is it really when im surrounded by public transport and get stressed out and upset about driving?
