Earlier today, he flew out of the cage and was running around my front yard. I tried to grab him but remembered that he bites, hard. So while he was running around desperately searching for his cage and his mate, I was trying to have him perch on my finger. After a while, he perched on it, but flew off. (Not really because his wings are clipped) I tried this again with the same result. I later realized that he trusts me, but only a little. His mate is already tamed to me, so I was thinking that If they are both tamed that my parents will let them be full time house birds. But, I just don't know how to tame him so that he isn't afraid of me at all. Any suggestions?
