Our 10 month old birman neauter was walking funny on Monday evening, we visited the clinic and our vet immediately diagnosed him with being constipated. Our boy received an enema, 2 lots of anesthesia and pain meds and 2ml A.C.P costing us $298. We collected him the very same evening but the vet wasn't there and we were told by receiption to exclude dry food unless it's in water and if required we could add 2-3 ml of actilax (from our pharmacy) to his diet. Sounded fine and dandy except Casper wouldn't eat for 2 days, so we thought Friday we would call our vet, Friday comes and he eats, drinks and finally poops, except he is walking funny still, we think it's the meds wearing off . o.k so today is Sunday, Casper is still bed ridden, eats and drinks if we coax him, and will pee laying down in the litter tray and stay there for a while, no poop since Friday We are worried that this is a mistaken diagnosis, he was very blocked but I'm thinking tail injury, he seems in pain when walking
