My cats can't stop throwing up.?

I have 2 cats that have been throwing up constantly. starting this morning. The one threw up 5 times and the other 4. I think they keep eating the Christmas tree and getting sick from it but it might be something more than that. I had a puppy in July for a short period of time and I found out she had worms from fleas that she had at her owners house. If my cats got the worms, would they be hitting them like this? I try to look through their poop and have only once seen a worm in both cats. I have 0 money for the vet. I just need some info to see if I can take care of them. its also 3 days before Christmas and vet bills tend to be bigger. The puke varies in texture. In the beginning it was just a clear/creme colored mucus. now it'll be the food they just ate. I know I need to take them to the vet but I dont have money for anything right now. They live a luxurius life with expensive food for the last 6 years. They also like to eat some of the dogs food thats the same brand
