I bought a 7 week old male rat from a pet shop a few weeks ago. Ever since bringing him home, he has made a lot of wheezing and sneezing sort of noises from his nose, and often sneezes out a lot of porphyrin that he tries really hard to clean up. Sometimes he almost seems like he's struggling to breathe through all the mucus. I am very worried about my little rat as he is the sweetest rat I have ever had and I would hate to think he has a serious health issue, especially so soon in owning him. Does anyone know what it could be? Is there anything I can do to help? And should I be keeping him away from my other male rat to stop him getting infected? PLEASE HELP :(((((
