My dog is just over a year old. We have had her for over 6 months and she would still go to the bathroom in the house at night and during the day while we were out. So we decided we would try to crate train her. She sleeps in her crate at night and is in her crate during the day when no one is home (That's usually only for a couple of hours and isn't every day) I guess what I would like to know is what to do when my dog has an accident in the house. Do I put her in her crate and then take her outside or do I take her outside and then put her in her crate? For how long do I keep her in her crate? Actually, she is somewhat house trained. Shes doing allot better than she was when we first got her. Before she would go to the bathroom in our house and wouldn't even bother letting us know she needed to go. The only reason we got the crate was because she would go in the house when we were sleeping or not here. She knew better than to go in the house while we were there.
