3 Days ago I brought a new baby guinea pig (2 months old) for my oldest one (1 year old) guinea pig. Both girls. I really don't know if they get along well!! The old one is the lazy, sweet and nice type. The new one seems to be very active, a bit scared of people and unfortunately i cannot pet her yet. The little guinea pig follows the oldest one all the time! I think this might be very stressful for the oldest one. The favorite toy of the oldest one was a swing, she used to sleep in there. Now the little one tries to get on the swing with the oldest one and she doesn't understand that there is not enough space for 2 (as you can see in the picture) !!! When the big piggy climbs off the swing, the little one climbs off to. And so on...it's a permanent chase . They do that a couple of times because the old piggy wants to sleep alone in the swing, as she used to. Another thing is that the old piggy sleeps more often than the baby...When she tries to sleep, the little one doesn't let her (she jumps around, it's sniffing/ touches her..) That is the moment when the big piggy gives her a hit with the teeth (the only form of attack she used). She does that like 5 times a day. Do you think I need to separate them? Any advice is welcome!
