I got him on Friday (12/12/14) and it's now Monday (12/16/14) and he's barely eaten. Little Oliver was purchased from a pet owner who's cat had kittens. He was the only kitten left so I don't know how big the other kittens were. He was eight weeks when we got him and I asked the owner for the specific birthday but she hasn't gotten back to me. He's a tiny little thing- I've referred to him as runty as weighing him on a food scale meant he came in at a whopping one pound, one ounce at eight weeks. He was still being given kitten formula by the old family so we bought two pouches along with grain-free kitten food. We feed both our dogs and older cat grain-free. Is he just nervous due to a new house, crotchety old man cat who is seventeen and two dogs, a two year old 95lb husky/sheepdog/wolf mix and an seven year old 55lb German shep/lab/corgi mix? The old house didn't have dogs at all but they're calm around cats and kittens. Over the last four days he's eaten most of one carton of Whiskas catmilk (dogs kept stealing it if he didn't finish so it's hard to measure how much was Oliver.) and about a third a cup of dry food in the formula. He's had water available but hasn't tried to drink much or very often. He was completely uninterested our adult cat's wet food. The last two days he's been very active, jumping, playing and scaling his new kitty pole like he's King Kong. He even tried to play with my seven year old puppy. Is Ollie just adjusting? Nerves? Should I be worried?
