How should I cut my anubia nana?

I have a anubia nana in my tank which is attached to a big driftwood and there are some leaves which are melting or a little yellowish. I plan to pluck out the melting leaves and so new ones would regrow in its place and how and where should i pluck it? Near the rhizome or new the leaf? And I also wish to propagate (cut and replant) and where on the rhizome should I cut? And will the old rhizome continue growing where I cut or will the growth stop and continue only at the end where I cut. Also is it possible to cut the rhizome and the stem in the tank? As the plant is attached to a really big piece of drift wood.
