i've only had the axolotls for 6 months but today my father noticed the white axolotl wasn't moving, his gills wear curled forward so i removed him from the tank and put him in a container he's still not moving and i've noticed his gills are shedding I'm pretty sure he's dead but some sites are recommending i put him in the fridge i haven't put him in there yet though. My father complained about three days ago about the smell of the tank it was the sand so he flipped out and emptied it, i usually just clean half of the tank but he emptied it all then refilled it with gravel, some sites say gravel is dangers for axolotls but he won't let me put sand in there. my black axolotls is eating and moving around but his gills are moved forward two, is it stress?. If anyone has any ideas what killed my axolotl i would appreciate it a lot, sorry about any spelling mistakes i don't speak fluent english. thank you in advance:)
