Question: Lease Horse?

So about 2 1/2 years ago I fell in love with a horse at my barn. We were the perfect match. I started leasing her and then suddenly she died at age 19, from pneumonia :(. Anyway so I found another horse I love. I can t buy it but I am thinking of leasing it. But I know it sounds weird, I am scared that this will happen again. When I lease I create a stronger bond so I would not want my heart broken again. Please help me. I know this probably won t happen again, but do you think I should lease him? Also how could I get over the death of my last lease horse. Please help! Thank you
