Do I have enough time for a Parrot (Pionus)?

Ever since I've worked at a pet store while I was a HS student, I have been interested in getting a pet parrot. When I worked at a pet store, I was able to tame some smaller birds enough to comfortably sit on my shoulder while I was working. I also researched a lot about caring for parrots ever since working at a pet store! (I do have experience keeping a parrotlet for a year while my friend was studying abroad). Although I might think I have enough knowledge and "experience" with parrots through working at a pet store, these are only my assumptions... Now living in the real world, I usually get up at 5:30 in the morning to go to the gym. I go straight to work, and go to jiu jitsu class in the evening. I am away from my house from 5:30am- 8:00pm (or 9:00pm on certain nights) on the weekday. I do not care too much about having a bird that is able to talk... but I do want a medium sized bird that will let me scratch his head and sit on my shoulder. I am really interested in a pionus parrot because I have read that they are more independent, quiet, and is able to entertain himself. I'm just worried if I have enough time to be around the bird.... I am willing to let the bird out of the cage every night when I get home (at least an hour), and give it extra attention on the weekends. What do you guys think? Do you think I have enough time to care for a parrot/pionus parrot??
