I have two ferrets and they are in a super pet cage (btw play time is cleaning time) Due to how small the door is I clean it about twice a week. A few months ago I started to notice little worms in their poo, I was completely grossed out! But I cleaned it up. I did not notice at the time I had about 3 flys in my room. I continued cleaning their cage and every week those 3 flys would turn into 6 then 12 then 24 and so on. Through the winter the flys still would not let up! (I thought they hated cold!) so now I am still fighting this battle against the flys, just recently I went out and bought some sticky fly paper to hang from the ceiling. It helps but not by much. So my question is to get rid of they more efficiently should I purchase an electric bug zapper? Will it kill the flys? And what can I do in the ferret cage to deter them from breeding in the poo? Thanks in advance. :D (P.S I am hoping to get them a Midwest ferret nation cage so I can clean it every day.)
