leopard gecko colors changing..?

I have what i believe is a female leopard gecko & a male leopard gecko. they are around the same age, about 4 months old. they are from petco & they are both super healthy & great at being handled, no longer jumpy or running up my arms. the male, he is huge. he has a giant head that is no doubt, always held high. he weighs in at 35 grams right meow. the female is very sweet & slowing down much faster than the boy, she is weighing in at 28 grams. they get along great, no problems what so ever, we know we will have to separate them eventually but we aren't sure of the boys sex yet. so we are just waiting to see if we need to get them in different homes. they came home together, they have never been apart, besides handling. but i would rather see they are getting along, housed together, with no problems until we absolutely have to. we have that all figured out, no worries. BUT, that is not the concern i have about the little leos. we have a 20 gallon tank they are in. they had a 10 gallon when we first brought them home, but we are over achievers when it comes to our leos & skinks & such, so we upgraded. in our geckos cage we have a humid coco hide that we spray with warm water twice a day, once when we turn up the light & again when we turn it back down. our set up has a heating pad on one side, sitting at 87 degrees 24/7. on the heating pad side we have the coco humid hide, we have a log hide, and we have a small floral log hide in the middle. then the other side has a tall, multi-level hide, and a log. they were spending most of their time in the multi-level rock hide while we had a heat lamp for them. it was basic uv, maybe uvb. im not sure by husband deals with the bulbs, but it was not an infrared bulb so we figured it was too bright for their little eyes. so we switched it out about 4 days ago. THEY BOTH ARE SHEDDING REGULARLY! trust me, i know what they both look like when they shed, this is not it. i handle my geckos daily & i have pictures of them shedding. this is different. im not worried yet, just because they are not acting any different towards each other or me & my husband, they are eating just the same. have fresh water everyday with the compliment of Repti-Safe so they have no way of ingesting bad chemicals. they eat healthy, crickets & meal worms depends on the day of the week. both tails are as fat as ever. but ive been noticing my females tail was purple with white stripes & had black spots all over it.. the purple is fading to white. like i said she is not acting any different, she is healthy, loving, social. i just dont understand why her tail is fading like that. the black is the same, but the orange by her butt/start of her tail has faded too. my male, his yellow was VERY bright & meow its kind of a light, almost greenish/yellowish, almost like they arent getting enough light meow. i thought inferred was better for them. they are coming out more, they arent sleeping so much. but i worry they might be cold, is her tail going to fall off? there is no reason what so ever for that but she does have a house mate. im really concerned, like i said im not freaking out yet because they are both acting fine. but what the hell is happening? should i be more worried? is she cold? is she too hot? i love my leos & i dont want anything to happen to them. my husband says its nothing & it very well could be, im just concerned. please help us! good news or bad, either way is appreciated greatly! thank you so much! ONCE AGAIN, I KNOW THEY ARE NOT SHEDDING. I KNOW THEY ARE NOT GETTING READY TO SHED. I HANDLE MY LEOPARD GECKOS ON A DAILY BASIS & I HAVE SEEN THEM SHED. THIS IS DIFFERENT. AGAIN FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO SKIM WITHOUT TAKING IN DETAILS--NOT SHEDDING!!!!!!!
