I'll try to give as many details as possible without sounding stupid. My cat is 7 years old. Tommy seems to, all his life, be severely attached to me, his "Mom". The problem being that when my kids or my boyfriend come to my house, he will get very irritated and usually poop on the bed. The vets have ruled this out as A NON MEDICAL ISSUE. Example 1: My boyfriend moved in. Every single day starting after about a week, we would come home and there would be two little "tootsie rolls" on either side of the bed. It got to be routine. We put a tarp on the bed and this continued until my boyfriend moved out and got his own place. Example 2: My daughter and my 11 y-o grandson moved in to my house while they were having a new house being built. They were here for 3 and a half months. We moved my grandson's bed in to my office space while my daughter took the guest bed. Periodically, when nobody was home he would "do his business" on my daughter's or grandsons' bed, sometimes both. we again tarped both beds. For them, shutting the door was not an option because the bedroom would not be heated properly. Example 4: When my son moved in, it became ritual on his bed. It's now tarped with the door shut (fixed heating issues) just in case he sneaks in. It would happen daily if it was not for the shut door. How do I fix this? Giving up the cat is not an option but I'd like to have the pooping stop.
