How to make cat food out of left over dog food?

Hello there!! Im trying to find any information or tips about how to make cat food out of left over dog food. Where do I get the large quantity of dog mush? I work at a kennel and left over food that dogs don't eat get put into a bag and frozen until I stick the bag into my car. I plan on donating the food to a local barn or two that have a substantial amount of stray cats that come for shelter and food. The food is frozen in almost kibble form (is served with water and gets soaked up) so should I just mush it all up? or thaw it out and leave it as that and package it?
