long story short.... my mum and step-dad separated around 1 year ago we had two family pets, both female american bulldogs and they were mother and daughter sadly in the march of last year we had to have the mother put to sleep as she was at the dear old age of 12 and had a huge stomach tumor. ever since then our youngest dog has become very introvert and cries often. added to this my step dad was always the pack leader of dogs and since he left he has not really bothered with her she is a very large dog and extremely hard for my mum to handle. she struggles to walk her as she is so big she is often in the house alone now since my step dad left and my younger sister started university. does anyone have any ideas on how i could change this situations or any organisations that are friendly and do a good job at re-homing large dogs (of this breed). this is a last resort for us as we have had her from a puppy and love her dearly. she is 8 years old now and such a friendly family dog. i am looking for genuinely helpful advice. thank you :)
