I need help with my beagle hes getting meaner?

I have a 6 year old male beagle lately hes been getting meaner. I have a 10 month old and one on the way, my son cant go near him without him barking or growling at him. there was this one time that my beagle nipped at my son cause he wasn't getting away from him. I have been working on my son teaching him not to pull or hurt any animal. Well tonight my beagle bite my husband cause my beagle was attacking my female beagle. I don't know what to do I love him and I don't want to see him go I want to try and see if he can get along and be nice to my son. If anyone can help me with this I would be grateful I have tried putting him in any room but he still does it so I don't know what to do
