ive had my little guinea pig for two months now,i still cant pick her up,as she will smell my finger then try?

nipping it I withdraw my hand before she bites me,shes very smart,if I go in the kitchen and open the fridge door she squeals.can anyone tell me what to do sos I can interact with my guinea pig? its crazy when I go to change her cage,i get her to get into a shallow pail,then put her into her changing cage and I clean the other cage and put her back in the new cage.i have no idea why shes so nippy,i love that little piggy.
