Guys I'm sorry I've asked two other of these types of questions today, but I have to know. I may get to half lease a horse, and if I do it will be one of my trainer's schooling horses at my barn. Well, there's only one I want. He's my "project". A lady leased the quarter horse to my trainer for THE WINTER. But my trainer likes how much he's learned so far and I think she wants to buy him. I hope she does! I really want to [half] lease him. He's challenging because the owner didn't teach him anything correctly (jumping, transitions, bending, etc) but he's still very sweet and loveable and eager to learn! I'm supppperr short for my age (I'm 12) so I know I will never be able to outgrow him, like, EVER. But I want to know how to know if you've found THE horse to lease. He'll obviously stay at the barn I'm at, my trainers barn, and I know I can stop the lease whenever (or that's how my trainer works). So what qualities in a horse should I look for. Obviously the quarter horse isn't the type id BUY....but the others aren't my "type" or they're too big for me:( (and also I love the Quarter horse) so what things should I look for to know? I'm riding tomorrow, and I'm hopefully riding him, so what should I look for in him to know I want to lease him? My parents said "maybe" to half leasing. And in my family....maybe means "yes, soon" I don't know why. So...HELP!? I'll take all the answers I can get!:) thanks! ALSO! Should u get a vet before you lease to check the horse's health?
