I bought a submersible heater about probably two months ago for my turtle's tank. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a filter for the tank. I told mom that I would do everything by myself but the next day she put the filter in the tank. I went downstairs and saw that she didn't put the heater completely underwater and I think that might've broke it? Because I've just noticed tonight that the water is cold. The light on the heater is red.. which means that it is heating the water. Ever since mom put the filter in, the light has never turned green at all. I even tried to adjust the temperature. I touched the water and I touched the heater and it's not even warm. It has been plugged for weeks now. I unplugged it but I don't want my turtle to get cold. Should I plug it back in to see if it works or should I wait until I get a new heater on Monday?
