My almost 6 month old kitten was a rescue, she's had a few health problems but it was just a cold, worms, fleas, and ear mites. All of which are long gone. I've had her since the week before Christmas. A couple days ago i noticed a fatty lump on the nape of her neck when i picked her up from a corner she got herself trapped into (you know how curious kittens can be! Haha) any way, its still there and my mom told me tonight to just keep an eye on it for a while and if it gets harder or bigger to let her know and she'd schedule an appointment with the vet. I know its something that any pet parent would worry about but I've been reading and some websites that label her symptoms say not to worry too much because it could just be an abscess that can be determined. Basically i just want peace of mind lol. But it doesn't seem to hurt her, she doesn't mind me touching that area, and its feels fatty and lumpy but who knows, i could be feeling it wrong and it could feel hard to a vet. And its horizontal across the nape of her neck, right in between the shoulder blades.
