So the other night my one year old son fell on our 10 year old Sheltie. She snapped at his face. Resulting in minor bite marks. I couldn't believe it. She has been such a great dog. I don't know if she will do this again. She does growl at him.. What do I do!! My fiancée is a 'one bite your gone' kind of guy. My mother states away agreed to take her. I have mixed feelings and I don't know what to do. I love my son and want to protect him no matter what. It is also hard to get rid of my dog that's been there through thick in thin. I have her locked in the kitchen until we can get her to my mother. witch is 2 months from now. This is defiantly the hardest thing I've had to do. I am a bad mother for not wanting to get rid of my dog?!?! I want to protect my son!! I want my fiancée to be happy as well and as long as the dog is here he wont be happy....
