So, a month ago we got a betta fish. My brother bought him from the pet store and when he found out they actually required work, he quit. so now I have the fish. He is in minimal living conditions, as I am saving up for two tanks, a ten gallon for him, and a 25 gallon for my two comet goldfish. so, he is living in a 1 gallon bowl right now. So, now after 3 weeks, Ash is not willing to eat. I started to give him one pellet at a time, so I could watch him eat it before giving another so I wouldn t waste as much food. But he hasn t been eating! He has been making his bubble nest, but I think he s not eating because he s in pain. I think this because as of this week, I noticed one of his gills on his right side is protruding. He had not been eating for two days before I noticed this. Can anyone help me??
