We adopted a street cat, she was severely thin. We got her spayed, took her to the vet, and is now living indoors with my other cat. She has seen the doors open and has no interest in going back outdoors. When she was outside she was very affectionate with me. Now that she indoors she runs when i softly pet her. But she is affectionate with my mom and older sister. I have known her for a couple of months, but she has only been indoors about a month. Why does she run when i pet her? I let her smell my hand, and i pet her a little, and she runs. Meanwhile she lets my mom and sister pet her. =( My sister thinks its might be jealousy. My other cat, Kitty, is very affectionate towards me, goes to my room, and constantly seeks me out to be petted. I thought this would show my new cat that she can trust me. But can this be making her jealous? Please help! I want my new cat to love me like i love her. =(
