I am out of state and I found out from my family that about 3 days ago going on 4 my dog ate 4 ounces of raisins. They were unaware that raisins can be toxic and I begged them to take the dog to the vet but since he seemed perfectly fine they didn't want to. He is about 20 pounds 15 years old and initially after eating them in the middle of the night threw up once (which isn't too uncommon for him) a few raisins. Since then he has been eating, drinking, going to the bathroom etc normally. He usually walks a few miles each day and has been really peppy. Anyone have experience with this? Most places I read said that signs of kidney failure would've been seen at this point. I called the vet and poison control no one seemed to be that alarmed oddly enough. Thanks for any words of support!
